About Us

Grant and I (Tracie) both rode as kids and decided to take the sport back up again after quite a long break. We aren’t super competitive but enjoy our 3 horses and take part in a number of disciplines in our local area. We are currently living in Southland but are both from the Central North Island. Coming back into riding after a 25+ year break certainly made us realise how much times have changed.

Surely there had to be an easier way to keep our horses looking and feeling great, and for us as riders to have comfortable and functional apparel?
Our wonderful products simplify feeding, grooming and horse care regimes and allow us to ride in comfort, no matter the discipline or the weather. We only sell product ranges that we use and can recommend, making it easy to turn our passion into a business.
Excel Equine continues to grow steadily, we wholesale and retail a range of products. The bonus to all of this is that these the products have all our horses looking and feeling great, and of course the riders too with our range of Performa Ride apparel.

 

Excel Equine are NZ Wide Distributors for the Performa Ride Riding tights and apparel that have proved very popular since they have been in NZ. Along with the Performa Ride Range we also have the Lynbrae Show Range that we sell and distribute Nationwide.

The retail side of our business includes the above products as well as the Majyk Equipe horse boots Dynavyte range, Witches Brew Hoof Oil, Pro Dosa BOOST and EquineCare Probiotic spray. We are also expanding our line of show prep products with a few products from the Nags to Riches and HSE ranges.

All of our products are available to purchase online, and we have a list of the Performa Ride and Lynbrae retailers available on our stockist’s page if you would like to buy from your local saddlery. Our Performa Ride range of products continues to expand, and new products will be uploaded onto our website as they come in to stock. Not all items will be stocked in your local store, but they are available to all stockists nationwide, so just call in and ask 

During the season we will be out competing our own horses, and attending trade shows and expos, predominately throughout the South Island with the occasional visit to the North Island as well.

We are continuing to expand on the products we stock and are always looking for new retailers to sell our merchandise and other good quality products to help service our ever-expanding client base.
